Students will recognize the pattern established year after year with the special coin dated appropriately. This lesson is designated "Patterns/Algebra" and is designed for grades 3-5.

Students write an autobiographical narrative. Addresses both Language Arts and Social Studies standards.

Using a penny and its date, students are asked to remember and write about an important event in their lives.
