Internet Public Library and Librarians' Internet Index to merge. Contest: Name the New Site!
http://lii.org/cs/lii/print/htdocs/lii_ipl_merger.htm
In the fall of 2009, the Internet Public Library (IPL) will merge with the Librarians' Internet Index (LII) to create a new web presence. While you will still have access to the same trusted resources and services, you will notice several enhancements that are designed to give you greater access to the information you need, when you need it. What should this new, combined service be called? YOU can help decide! Enter the contest. Deadline is May 11.

I will join Tom Daccord again this summer for his terrific summer workshop, Teaching English with Technology. It will be held at Boston University, and graduate credit will be available. This is a hands-on workshop – you’ll need to bring a laptop. Registration is open, and space is still available. I hope to see you there!
